Here is a story from Claudia, who is one of many who is inspired to serve through her faith. PoorPilgrim is a non-religious and non-political company. The world of giving and living charitably is open to all who desire to spread love.
“It has taken me almost my whole life to realize this truth: I ought to proactively, fearlessly, and relentlessly be the change I yearn to see in this world. For I cannot fathom that we would intentionally be crafted in such majestic manner without grandiose expectations. In the realization of such powerful truth, self-purpose in life becomes rather evident.
I choose to dedicate my body and strength to ignite and spread faith on earth. I choose to share my love in order to caress the orphan’s hearts with kindness and compassion. I choose to invest my time to master creative avenues of sustainability for underdeveloped communities, victims of policy or persecution. I choose to live by faith, and shine through darkness on those who have yet to experience the power of love without societal chains. Ultimately, I hope to permanently transform into that better version of myself, I so desire, which I only find by loving radically and proactively. In a quest to fulfill my call to be bold and intentional about my life’s purpose, SnapHope.org is born.
SnapHope.org, is a Christian non-profit organization with a focus on exposing the orphaned and the poor around the world–through the art of journalistic photography. We fuse photographic imagery with the emotions of an audience otherwise oblivious to realities such as poverty, human and sex trafficking, illiteracy, and lack of vital necessities. We tell a story, expose, raise awareness, fund, and act to change harsh realities into tales of faith and hope.
Our current project is in my native country, Peru. After two days of prayer walks and hiking along the Colca Canyon, we were led by faith into Belen (Bethlehem in Spanish). Belen is a small community in Southern Peru that was created after a landslide forced all villagers to relocate from their previous hometown. It lacks ALL primary necessities, but we are in the process of changing that.”
Come and spread some love on a charity trip!
